Important note: The main structure of a curtain wall building is a reinforced concrete frame or shear wall structure. The curtain wall itself does not carry the building weight. This is very important. The whole project needs to follow the actual building drawings. We are only responsible for the curtain wall design, production, and installation guidance. The concrete grade is C30 to C40. The column steel bars use HRB400. The floor slab thickness is 110mm to 130mm. The building contractor handles these parts. We need these numbers to design the curtain wall connections.

We separate the curtain wall from the building body. We leave a gap between the curtain wall and the main structure. This gap ranges from 150mm to 300mm. This space is for installing connectors and adjusting errors. It also helps with drainage and airflow. The curtain wall frame uses aluminium profiles. The glass is 6mm+12A+6mm tempered insulated. This means 6mm glass on the outside and 6mm glass on the inside with a 12mm dry air layer in between. This works for most basic building curtain wall needs.
